SHENANGO TOWNSHIP


•Theft. A 2002 Suzuki Vinson 500 quad was stolen from a home on Frew Mill Road Sunday. It had a plow in front, with racks on the front and rear.

•Theft. Multiple vehicles were entered and items taken in the Frew Mill Road area Sunday.

•Arrest. Julie Ellen Moore, 50, of 530 Gardner Stop Road was taken into custody during a sobriety checkpoint at 4 a.m. Thursday along Ellwood Road. Police said she was driving while intoxicated.

•Criminal mischief. Someone scratched a vehicle with a shopping cart in the parking lot of Giant Eagle on New Butler Road Nov. 13.

•Criminal mischief. A back window of a vehicle was shot with a pellet gun along Old Butler Road Saturday.

•Criminal mischief. Lamp posts at a home on Roosevelt Street were damaged. The damage was noticed Monday.

•Disorderly conduct. Glenn Abdoe, 53, and Robert J. McConahy, 41, both of Boyd School Road, were cited, police said, after they fought over a hunting location Sunday.

•Counterfeit currency. On Nov. 22, a local business reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill.

•Phone scams. Police said residents have been receiving telephone calls from people who identify themselves as attorneys, police officers, court officials, etc., claiming the person owes money and would be arrested if the funds are not paid immediately. Callers also are claiming people have won lotteries or items, but have to pay a fee to collect. Police said these calls are all scams.

Wampum police have charged the following people:

•Becci L. Eicher of Enon Valley, unlawful confinement and control.

•Joseph M. Cox, 40, of New Galilee, with unlawful confinement and control.

Pennsylvania state police have charged the following people:

•Michael Joseph McPherson, 19, of Enon Valley, two counts of criminal mischief, intent to possess a controlled substance, use and possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

•Andrew David Price, 23, of East Palestine, Ohio, harassment.

•Chelsea Marie Hagy, 19, of Enon Valley, harassment.

Ellwood City police have charged the following people:

•William Lloyd Price, 32, of Ellwood City, aggravated assault, simple assault and terroristic threats.

•Michelle R. Mullins, 38, of Portersville, retail theft.

•Christine Nicole George, 28, of Beaver Falls, two counts of driving under the influence.
