STATE

•Attempted burglary. Someone tried to gain access to the home of a Scotland Lane, Union Township, resident between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Wednesday by prying open a side door and a sliding glass door on the west side of the home. No entrance was gained.

•Burglary. Someone entered an unlocked trailer at Carlson Mining in Slippery Rock Township between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday and took steel washers and an electric motor.

•Burglary. Someone entered the home of a Stacie Lane, Mahoning Township, resident between noon and 3 p.m. Friday and removed a gold chain and a .40 caliber pistol from a bedroom. Police said the burglar is known to the victim.

•Burglary. Approximately $5,000 worth of items were taken when someone entered the home of a Jacobson Road, Mahoning Township, resident between 10 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. Missing were a 50-inch Sony Bravia HD TV, laptop computers, silver rings, a gold and diamond ring, DVDs, CDs and a .22 caliber handgun. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at (724) 598-2211.

•Theft. Someone removed an undetermined amount of mail from the mailbox of a Heinz Camp Road, Slippery Rock Township, resident between 2 and 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

•Accident. Police said Kimberly M. Domalik, 34, of New Castle was northbound on Route 60 in Union Township at 3 a.m. yesterday when she apparently tried to avoid a deer as she entered the Sampson Street exit. Her 2006 Honda Civic struck the guard rail before rolling over and coming to rest on its wheels on the opposite side of the guard rail. Domalik was not injured.

•Burglary. In a report released yesterday, police said someone entered the home of a Columbiana Road, North Beaver Township, resident between 12:30 and 3 p.m. Sept. 23 and removed or damaged several items. Damages and losses totaled $1,600.

•Burglary. In a report released yesterday, police said someone entered the home of an Assid Lane, Union Township, resident between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 15 and removed several items of jewelry.

•Burglary. Someone entered the home of a Laclair Drive, Hickory Township, resident between 7 p.m. Sept. 27 and 4 p.m. Friday and removed several items of jewelry.

•Criminal mischief. Someone broke two windows in a 1996 Chevrolet Truck belonging to a Perry Highway, Portersville, resident as it was parted between 6 and 7:15 p.m. yesterday at Hell’s Hollow in Slippery Rock Township.
