Police

NEW CASTLE

•Burglary. Police said several items were stolen from a residence in the 500 block of East Division Street between 2 and 4:42 p.m. Wednesday. Reported stolen were four rings, including an engagement and wedding rings, valued at $2,000; a Sony PlayStation and 10 games, valued at $800; Nintendo Wii and 15 games, valued at $800; Xbox and 15 games, valued at $800; and $200 in cash. Police said entry was gained through a back door by opening a kitchen window and reaching inside to unlock the door.

STATE

•Harassment. Police said Robert D. Isabella, 45, of Darlington was accused of grabbing a 48-year-old Ellwood City woman from her vehicle on Sunday.

•Criminal mischief. An unknown individual smashed the mailbox of a Moffatt Road, Hickory Township, resident. The incident took place between 12:01 and 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

•Theft. Stewart Well Drilling of 2183 Millbridge Road reported 1,000 feet of copper was taken between Saturday and Sunday.

•Retail theft. Sandra Lee Zang, 45, of Hamilton Street, New Castle, was charged with a first-degree midemeanor retail theft. Police said Zang reportedly took items totaling $296.46 from the Super Wal-Mart Center in Union Township at 5:30 p.m. June 19. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 30 before District Judge Jennifer Nicholson.

•Criminal mischief. An unknown individual damaged the mailbox of a Hanna Street, South New Castle resident. The incident took place between 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

•Theft. An unknown individual took a $5 bill from a vehicle parked on Gilmore Street, South New Castle. The incident took place between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
