NEW CASTLE

•Burglary. Police were told someone entered and ransacked a house in the 1000 block of Rebecca Street between 10 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. May 7. Nothing was reported taken.

•Burglary. Two television sets, a DVD, a VCR and cash were reported taken from a house in the 400 block of East Lutton Street before 5 p.m. Sunday.

•Criminal mischief. Five windows on the west side of a house in the 1000 block of Cunningham Avenue were reported shot out by BBs before 10 a.m. Sunday. Holes were also made in the siding of the garage of the house. The owner told police he believed BBs or marbles were used to cause the damage.

•Attempted break-in. Police said the telephone wire and a window screen were cut and a window broken in a building in the 800 block of East Main Street before 10 p.m. Sunday. No entry was made.

STATE

•Theft. Police were told 20 shrubs and 45 potted plants, valued at $188, were taken from the New Wilmington Produce Auction, Route 208, before 2:30 p.m. Friday.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

•Burglary. A tan Coach bag containing credit cards, a cell phone and cash was reported taken from a Victoria Drive home before 11 p.m. Thursday.

•Theft. Coins were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a Graceland Road home between Sunday night and Monday.

•Theft. A wallet and change were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of an Oakwood Way residence before 10 p.m. Thursday.

NEW CASTLE

•Car fire. Police said a 1994 Chevy Blazer was found burning on Parkwood Court of Crestview Gardens about 1:30 a.m. Monday. New Castle police said the officer arriving first on the scene used a fire extinguisher from his car to put out a smoldering blanket in the back seat. The fire department arrived and further doused the vehicle.
