STATE
•Theft and forgery. Checks totaling $1,200, were reported taken from a West Pittsburg woman between March 38 and April 21. Police said the checks were allegedly forged and cashed by a 21-year-old female who is known to the victim.
•Theft. Police said a 1989 burgundy Cadillac Deville Sedan was reported taken from the parking lot of Westgate Plaza between 9 and 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said the car, owned by a Sharon resident, was parked at The Meadows.
NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP
•Accident. Alexandra A. Porter of Poland, Ohio, told police she lost control of her car when she swerved to miss a deer while westbound on Pulaski Road at 12:15 a.m. Friday. Police said the car hit a guiderail, crossed two traffic lanes and went 30 feet into a field. No injuries were reported.
•Theft. An antique gasoline pump was reported taken from a house on Mitchell Road. Police said the building was entered Friday.
•Dog found. A white, miniature Eskimo dog was found running in traffic on Plank Road near Neshannock Trails Drive at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The dog had no tags or collar. To claim the dog, the owner may contact the police department at (724) 656-9300 and show proof of a current county dog license.
