STATE
•Theft. Police said a rail, valued at $50, was taken from a bridge on Plain Grove-North Liberty Road between 8 a.m. March 31 and 8 a.m. April 1.
•Theft from vehicle. A handgun was reported taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a house in the 800 block of Wampum-New Galilee Road. Police said the theft occurred between April 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday.
•Theft. Police said prescription medication was taken from a bathroom medicine cabinet of a house in the 3100 block of Chewton-Wurtemburg Road between March 31 and Wednesday. Police said the theft was by a 25-year-old worker of a construction firm that had been hired to perform work at the house.
•Theft from vehicle. Police said a license plate was taken from a vehicle parked at the intersection of Route 168 and 14th Street, West Pittsburg. The theft occurred between March 17 and Wednesday while the vehicle was waiting for mechanical work do be done at a local auto repair shop.
•Theft of vehicle. Police said a blue, 1986 GMC pickup truck that had no license plate, was taken from a fenced-in area of CG’s Auto on Route 288. Police said the vehicle was for sale by the owner. When it did not sell at an auto auction March 29, it was left at the scene. Police said the theft occurred between March 31 and April 1.
•Burglary. Two space heaters and a pressure washer were taken from AC Plus Inc. on Route 19, between 2 a.m. March 29 and 5 a.m. March 31.
•Theft from vehicle. A radar detector, GPS software and iPOD accessories were taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Knoll Drive home between midnight Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday.
•Theft. Police said a cell phone was taken from the Union High School basketball courts around 7 p.m. Monday while the victim played basketball.
NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP
•Accident. On Maitland Lane at Windsor Ridge. Louise K. Bjerke of Poland, Ohio, told police she had failed to see a bend in the road as she put her cigarette into the ashtray of her vehicle, about 10:30 a.m. Monday. She lost control and struck a tree. Bjerke was treated at Jameson Hospital then released.
