NEW CASTLE —
Toaster waffles are quick and easy to prepare.
They are also cheap and sold in every grocery store, which makes them a popular breakfast food choice.
If you're content with waffles with syrup every morning, you are definitely easier to please than me. If you need some variety in your mornings, then keep reading. Below are some ways to get creative with your toaster waffles.
1. Add fresh fruit.
It's summer! Skip the syrup and grab some fresh strawberries, blueberries, or peaches for that toaster waffle.
2. Enjoy a waffle a la mode.
Again, it's summer. Have your waffle with a side of vanilla ice cream ... or chocolate or strawberry. Well, you get the idea.
3. Top it off with yogurt.
Yogurt is healthy and comes in a wide variety of flavors. How about a Yoplait Key Lime Pie waffle?
4. Sweeten the deal.
Honey is a great topping for anything from a plain slice of bread to a multi-grain bagel. Try it on your morning waffle.
5. Whip it.
Jazz up your waffle with whipped cream and chocolate sauce and you have dessert!
Looking for a healthier toaster waffle? I personally like Kellogg's Eggo Nutri-Grain whole wheat waffles.
Happy topping!

Courtney Caughey-Stambul: Latest ‘Oz’ indeed great and powerful
I stood in line at the movie theater on Friday night, waiting to see "Oz the Great and Powerful" in 3-D. It was the first time in a very long time that I actually had to wait in line to see a film. As I waited, the crowd and a life-sized poster of a wicked witch, her face slightly shadowed, added to my excitement leading up to the start of this movie.
