NEW CASTLE —  If you enjoyed my past blog post about The Crockin' Girls, you'll love today's short post.

The Crockin' Girls are cooking a full Easter feast in their slow-cookers. Their meal includes Soda Ham (love this!), Green Beans and New Potatoes, Easter Bunny Carrots, and Turtle Chocolate Cake (yum!).

To read the recipes for each dish and to view The Crockin' Girls instructional video, visit http://crockingirls.com/Videos/video-of-the-week-12.html.

The Soda Ham recipe seems too good (too easy) to be true for a beginner like me, but I'm going to give it a try and hope that it really is as simple as it sounds!

The recipe calls for a fully cooked, bone-in spiral cut ham, a can of your favorite dark soda, a package of glaze or a cup of brown sugar. I will be using Cherry Pepsi and brown sugar.

In the video, The Crockin' Girls use Dr. Pepper and a package of glaze that came with their ham.

To slow cook your ham, first make sure it fits in the crock pot with the lid in place. After fitting the ham (cutting it down to fit if necessary), pour the soda and the glaze or brown sugar over the ham. Put the lid on and cook on low for 8 hours.

Talk about as easy as it can get.

So, here's to a delicious Easter dinner and a wonderful Sunday with family and friends!

Happy Easter!
