NEW CASTLE — The Lawrence County Historical Society has set dates for its annual Christmas party and open house with Santa.

Mistletoe Magic will take place Dec. 15.

The annual Victorian Christmas party is hosted by the Lawrence County Historical Society. It runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the society’s mansion at 408 N. Jefferson St.

Among the evening’s features will be hors d’oeuvres, wines and music of the season played by local guitarist Doug McIltrot.Guests will be invited to join in the sing-a-long.

Tickets are $30 each and must be purchased in advance. They are available at the historical society’s office or from board members. All proceeds benefit the historical society.

More information and tickets are available by calling the office at (724) 658-4022.

The following day, the society will have its open house with Santa.

That annual event — open to all ages — will run from 3 to 5 p.m., also at the society’s Victorian mansion.

Photographer Laura Ruppersberger will be on hand to take photos of children with Santa.

The pictures, tours of the facility, refreshments and special treats for the children are free of charge.
