NEW CASTLE — All farms generating or using manure must develop and implement a manure management plan.

The revised Department of Environmental Protection Manure Management Manual, released in October 2011, requires that of every farm in Pennsylvania that produces or applies manure.

The Lawrence County Conservation District will host a manure management workshop Feb. 25. The session will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the district office at the Lawrence County Government Center, 430 Court St. Lunch will be provided.

Those attending should register by Feb. 20, as space is limited. Attendees also will receive a copy of the updated Manure Management Manual.

Contact the Lawrence County Conservation District at (724) 656-2474 to register, or email landerson@lawrencecd.org with name, address and number of people attending.
