Red Cross offers safety training

NEW CASTLE — The American Red Cross is offering safety and preparedness classes to prepare people to react in an emergency.

Interested New Castle residents can enroll in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED training this summer by visiting RedCross.org.

The following classes will be offered in New Castle July 13. The courses will be conducted at the Red Cross office, 222 N. Mercer St.

•Adult CPR/AED from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $70.

•Adult first aid/CPR/AED from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $90.

Businesses, organizations and community groups can register for private instruction from the Red Cross.

To register for a nearby individual class, online babysitting class or private group instruction, call (800) RED-CROSS or visit RedCross.org.
