Natural gas program set at Westminster

NEW CASTLE — Pipelines and natural gas issues will be the subject of a program scheduled for Nov. 2 at Westminster College.

The League of Women Voters of Mercer County and the Westminster College Environmental Programs are co-sponsoring the event featuring Dr. Roberta Winters of the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters.

Winters will be speaking on Pipelines and Pooling: Expanding Natural Gas Issues. Her talk will cover pipeline infrastructure, its environmental impact, regulation and the role citizens play in pipeline siting and safety.

She will speak at 10:30 a.m. at 207 Patterson Hall.

Winters will speak later that day, at 2 p.m., at the Mercer County Penn State Extension office, 463 N. Perry Highway, Mercer.

Both programs are free and open to the public.
