Red Cross to offer discounted classes

NEW CASTLE — The American Red Cross is offering first aid and CPR/AED training classes to Lawrence County residents.

Classes will be offered this month at the New Castle Red Cross office, 222 N. Mercer St., at a discounted rate.

According to the Red Cross, residents can save 20 percent on the price of safety courses. A similar discount is being offered for first aid kits and other emergency items.

Participants are asked to use the coupon code HOLIDAY0113 to receive the discount.

Classes being offered Jan. 26 are:

•Adult CPR/AED — 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at a cost of $70

•Adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a cost of $110

Businesses, organizations and community groups also can register for private instruction from the Red Cross. Interested participants should call (800) RED-CROSS or visit RedCross.org.
