Lawrence Corvi: News announces new press time

NEW CASTLE — To our readers,

The weekend edition of The New Castle News has been printed and delivered on Saturday mornings for more than 20 years.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 1, the Monday through Friday editions of The News also will move to morning publication. That will mean home delivery in most areas by 9 a.m. The exception will be in neighborhoods where youth carriers deliver The News.

Home delivery customers with youth carriers will most likely continue to get their paper at the times they do now on weekdays. Youth carriers attend school and may not get papers in time for earlier delivery during the week.

The Monday through Friday News also will be available at news racks and stores earlier in the day, in some cases before 7 a.m.

We are altering the print time of The News for earlier delivery to give most of our readers more time to spend with The News during the day. We believe by giving The News more shelf life each day, you will find it more convenient to find news, information and advertising you need to live by.

Should you have any questions, please call publisher Lawrence Corvi at (724) 654-6651, extension 648, or email him at lcorvi@ncnewsoline.com.
