Route 488 bridge work to begin

NEW CASTLE — Work to repair the bridge that carries Route 488 over Slippery Rock Creek will begin Monday.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, crews will conduct structural steel repairs. Single-lane alternating-use traffic will occur as needed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Jan. 22 in the bridge area near the intersection of Wurtemburg Road.

The work is included in a $1.4 million contract with Lone Pine Construction of Bentleyville for improvements on various bridges in District 11.

PennDOT advises motorists to use caution and allow extra time when traveling through that area.

Members of the Brady Bunch, now all in their 50s, recently reunited in front of screaming fans. Now the Rolling Stones, all in or nearing their 70s, are touring again. How old is too old to entertain?

You’re NEVER too old! Age is just a number — more power to ’em!
Geez! I didn’t realize they were THAT old! That’s, like, my grandpa’s age.
Not sure. But I do enjoy a good “Golden Girls” rerun in syndication. Now THAT’S entertainment!
