NEW CASTLE —
A natural gas workshop has been set for Jan. 24 in Slippery Rock.
Landowners in the area have been approached with seismic testing and pipeline agreements. As a result, they face various questions including: Is this an option or a lease? How many pipes? Is this agreement worth $200 per acre or $60,000 per acre?
To answer these and other questions, Penn State Extension will offer a natural gas workshop “Seismic Testing, Pipeline Agreements and Leasing Update” at the Slippery Rock Township Building, 155 Branchton Road.
The session will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Presenters will include Dan Brockett and Jon Laughner from the Penn State Marcellus Education Team. They will provide information on seismic testing and pipeline right-of-ways and what options may be available for landowners. A question-and-answer period will follow the discussion.
Pre-registration is required by calling the Butler County Extension Office at (724) 287-4761.
There will be a $10 fee per person collected at the door.
More information is available by contacing Laughner at (724) 774-3003.
