Pulaski police to host night-glow golf event

NEW CASTLE — The Pulaski Township Police Association has set July 26 for its glow-in-the-dark benefit golf scramble.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. at Tanglewood Golf Course in New Bedford. Proceeds will benefit the police association.

Cost to participate is $65 per person and includes nine holes of golf with a cart, glow-in-the-dark accessories, chicken, ribs and pulled pork barbecue dinner by Blue Lizzy Smokers, beverages, prizes, contests, an after-party bonfire, disc jockey entertainment and prize money.

Games of skills will include hole-in-boat and longest drive.

Golfers who want to participate should contact police Lt. Chad Adams at (724) 964-8891, extension 104, or by email at Or they can call or send a text message to Heather Darcangelo at (724) 657-4161. Golfers who do not have teams will be paired.

Non-golfers who want to attend will be charged $25 per person or $40 per couple for dinner, beverages, chances in the prize drawings and the before, during and after celebrations.

Registration is at 5:30 p.m. The dinner will be cooked on site from 6 to 8 p.m. A shotgun tee-off will take place at dusk.

Those attending are to take flashlights for golfing and lawn chairs for the after party.

Checks should be made payable to the Pulaski Township Police Association, 1172 State Route 208, Pulaski, Pa. 16143.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
