Seedling, plant sales to begin

NEW CASTLE — The Lawrence County Conservation District’s is accepting orders for its annual tree seedling and plant sale.

This year’s sale includes a variety of evergreens, including hemlock, spruce, pine, fir and arborvitae, as well as hardwoods — red oak, black cherry, sugar maple, and white flowering dogwood.

 Plants for sale include blueberry bushes, elderberries, grapes, and ever-bearing strawberries.

The deadline to order is April 4.  Orders must be pre-paid and must be picked up at the county warehouse near the courthouse on April 26.
