Extension to host drinking water clinic

NEW CASTLE — The Lawrence County Extension Office is offering a water testing clinic Feb. 27.

The session, from 1 to 3 p.m., will provide information about the basics of testing and protecting drinking water supplies. The course will be at the extension office on the third floor of the Lawrence County Government Center annex, 430 Court St.

People who rely on private wells, springs or cisterns for drinking water should have their water tested for health reasons. The clinic will provide information about private drinking water supplies, including proper location, construction, testing, maintenance and well protection.

The cost to attend is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required by Feb. 26 by calling the extension office at (724) 654-8370.

More information is available by calling Susan Boser, Penn State water resources educator, at (724) 774-3003.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
