Your Commute: You might have delays during viaduct work

NEW CASTLE — Motorists may experience delays starting Tuesday at the Mahoning Avenue viaduct.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, an inspection of the viaduct is scheduled.

Single-lane closures in each direction will occur as needed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays between North Liberty and Moravia Streets. Work will conclude March 6.

Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers will conduct the work.

Motorists are advised to use caution, allow extra time and expect changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.

    The Lawrence County Young Republicans will have a meet-the-candidates mixer in anticipation of the May 21 primary. The session will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the Crane Room, 3009 Wilmington Road.

Geez! I didn’t realize they were THAT old! That’s, like, my grandpa’s age.
