Veterans officer to visit

NEW CASTLE — An American Legion service officer will answer questions for veterans Thursday at the office of State Rep. Chris Sainato.

The representative will be at Sainato’s office at 20 S. Mercer St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. He will provide advice on veterans affairs and state benefits for veterans and dependents.

No appointment is necessary, but proof of veteran status is required.

Yes. If it’s a more efficient way to run the jail, I’m all for it.
No. I think there would be too many questions of liability for the county.
