NEW CASTLE —
A fund has been set up to help the victim of Easter Sunday’s fire in North Beaver Township.
Linda Shoaff lost her home on New Road and everything in it during the afternoon blaze. The house is a total loss and two of Shoaff’s dogs perished in the fire.
Her daughters — Lacey Hammond and Jill Jones — have set up a fund at First Commonwealth Bank.
Anyone who is interested in helping Shoaff may take or mail a contribution to any First Commonwealth Bank branch and earmark it for the Linda Shoaff Fire Fund.

Memorial service scheduled
The annual Croton Memorial Service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Croton Honor Roll. U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly will be the guest speaker.

Mixer planned to meet candidates for primary
The Lawrence County Young Republicans will have a meet-the-candidates mixer in anticipation of the May 21 primary. The session will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the Crane Room, 3009 Wilmington Road.

Shenango High School’s class of 1962 will meet for lunch Thursday. The group will gather at 1 p.m. at Chuck Tanner’s Restaurant.
