Valentine’s Day Contest: Tell us about your marriage proposal

NEW CASTLE — We admit it. We’re just hopeless romantics here at The News.

Are you? If so, we’ve got two simple questions for all of you married folks:

•Ladies: how did your husband propose to you?

or ...

•Men: How did you propose to your wife?

Share your stories with readers of the Castle News and you can be a winner!

The News is now accepting submissions from Lawrence County residents as part of our special Valentine’s Day contest.

To enter is simple. Just tell us about your marriage proposal in 200 words or less, and include a photo of you and your spouse so we can have it on hand if you are the grand prize-winning couple. A pair of newlywed bloggers at The News — Sarah Stright-Hartley and Courtney Caughey-Stambul — will vote for the most romantic of the bunch.

If your submission is selected, you will win some fantastic prizes, courtesy of Kimpel's Jewelers Inc. in Ellwood City, and The News.

E-mail your entries to Tim Kolodziej at tkolodziej@ncnewsonline.com. Deadline for all entries is 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

We’ve stocked up on the tissues.

Now, the rest is up to you.
