NEW CASTLE — It's spring, it's spring! It finally feels like spring!

Maybe I shouldn't say that too loudly, I don't want to scare it off.

Anyway, one of the best parts of spring is seeing all of the pretty flowers popping up around the area. So why not take advantage of this blooming time and "bloom" yourself?

A floral blazer is a great piece to add to your spring wardrobe for many reasons. First, they're fun. They add such a great pop of color to any outfit and bring light to your face.

Second, it's a blazer, so it still adds the professional air to your look. Wear it with a pair of dress pants and a neutral top during the week and with a striped or polka dot shirt (fun and easy pattern mixing) with jeans on the weekend.

If you're afraid a floral blazer might be too "loud" for your office, consider one in more neutral colors so that you still have the same fun elements but in a more subtle way.

To the right I've shown several examples of great floral blazers. The best part? They're all under $50! Its’s a great trend to try without breaking the bank.

Be sure the blazer you find is lightweight so that it's appropriate for spring and that it fits you well. Always make sure it buttons without straining across your chest.

Because this is more of a lightweight blazer, you don't necessarily need to look for one that is as structured as a standard blazer. Feel free to play with different fabrics like an easy cotton. It'll be comfortable and easy to wear.

I guarantee this is one jacket that you'll want to wear over and over again — especially once you take a risk with pattern play!

Is a floral blazer something you'll be adding to your closet this spring?
