NEW CASTLE —
Sometimes I like to think about what I'd wear to work if I had unlimited funds, so I’ve put together what those "dream" outfits might look like (to the right).
None of these looks are overly complicated or trendy so they'd be things that I could mix and match and wear year round. Next step? Getting similar pieces to make these outfits a reality.
•Monday — I don't like to think too much about what I'm going to wear, so an outfit like white trousers and a bright lace top is easy and pretty. Leopard wedges and chunky jewelry always makes me feel a little edgier. Oh, and glasses on a Monday are most often a must — my eyes are usually still too tired from the weekend.
•Tuesday — I'm a little bit obsessed with a simple pencil skirt but one with a bit of glam (like the one shown) is always fun, too. And keeping the rest of the outfit neutral lets the skirt stand out on its own. A chunky gold bracelet complements the skirt as well.
•Wednesday — I love a fun printed skirt. This tribal print one is such a bright spot in the middle of the week. Paired with a conservative tie-neck blouse and classic accessories keeps the look professional. Wearing a blazer or oversized cardigan will keep you warm and covered during the colder months.
•Thursday — How great is this emerald green peplum top? It looks so rich. With easy trousers, it's such a classic look. I also love accessories with a twist — the chunky necklace with delicate ribbon detail, the shoes with the interesting toe design, and a classic watch.
•Friday — I love getting to add a little extra flair to my Friday looks. Floral pants paired with a draped blouse and a sunny yellow blazer definitely brightens up the office. The beautiful bordeaux heels look perfect with the colors in the pants, and the nude accessories and chunky gold layered necklace compliment the look well.
What would you wear to the office if you had unlimited funds and an "anything goes" dress code?
