On the Record: Today's births, police items and district judge reports

•Criminal mischief. A car in the 1400 block of Moravia Road in North Beaver Township, was damaged between May 7 and Wednesday.


•Burglary. A laptop computer and about 20 DVDs were stolen from an apartment in the 200 block of Wallace Avenue between 4 and 10 p.m. Tuesday.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a house in the 600 block of Oak Street between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Wednesday and stole a television and PlayStation 3. Police said the house had been ransacked.

•Theft. Two wrought iron chairs were stolen from a yard in the 1300 block of 13th Street in West Pittsburg between 3:30 and 7 p.m. Tuesday.

•Criminal mischief. A backpack containing a rain jacket and gloves was stolen from a truck parked in the 200 block of Clen-Moore Boulevard between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The truck’s rear window was broken.

•Theft. A backpack was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Beckford Street overnight from May 7 to 8.

•Theft. A wallet containing various cards and $500 was stolen from a purse in a vehicle in a lot in the 1700 block of Albert Street between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Monday. Police said the car owner had left the vehicle unlocked.

•Burglary. Two sections of 100-foot pieces of welding lead and eight yellow extension cords were stolen from a garage in the 800 block of Oak Street between midnight Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

•Arrest. Ronald Eugene Clark Jr., 41, of 3016 McClelland Ave., was arrested on a felony warrant and for alleged trespassing when police saw him in the 300 block of Halco Drive around 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Police said he was in possession of several pieces of suspected crack cocaine and is facing charges.

•Arrest. Kurt Speicher, 28, of Portersville was arrested for driving under the influence after police pulled him over around 1:20 p.m. Sunday on Croton Avenue. Officers said he had hypodermic needles and blood coming from a vein in his forearm. He told officers he had used heroin, according to police. He is charged with driving under the influence, use or possession of drug paraphernalia and driving a vehicle without a valid inspection.

•Theft. A phone, two packs of cigarettes and a bottle of aspirin were stolen from a car parked in the 1000 block of Becker Street May 8. A neighbor also reported a car had been broken into on that date and a GPS unit and charger and loose change had been stolen, police said. Both cars had been left unlocked.

•Criminal mischief. The front window of the Alstate Power Vac shop at 408 Neal St. was broken overnight May 8 to 9.

•Theft. Someone stole a stop sign and a do-not-enter sign from Phelps Way at Deshon Road around 3 p.m. May 7. A witness told police she had seen juveniles riding in a white pickup truck take the sign then drive away.

•Theft. A wallet containing various cards and $215 was stolen from a car parked on North Lee Avenue between May 6 and 7.

•Theft. A silver Ford 500 sedan was stolen from Electric Street near Grimes Street May 4. The car later was found burned in Hillsville, Mahoning Township.

•Criminal mischief. The driver’s door of a car was intentionally scratched with letters while parked in a lot in the 300 block of East Washington Street May 7.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a house in the 400 block of Boyles Avenue between March 20 and April 30 and stole copper pipe and wiring. A water heater and a circuit breaker were damaged.
