•Theft. A purse containing money and $40 in change was stolen from a car parked on Dillworth Avenue at El Rio Beach between 7 and 8 p.m. Monday. The passenger side window had been broken out with a rock, police said.

•False reports. Police said a woman falsely reported by phone a man had been stabbed on North Greenwood Street around 7:30 p.m. Monday. Charges are pending.

•Burglary. Two handguns and a computer were stolen from a home in the 400 block of Electric Street May 21 or 22.

•Attempted burglary. Someone tried to break into a house in the 700 block of Brooklyn Avenue the morning of May 22. Police said the door frame had been damaged.

•Theft. A Mercedes spare tire cover was stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked in the 1400 block of East Washington Street between 4 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday.

•Theft. A pair of Nike shoes, two electronic tablets and four electronic games were stolen from a car parked in the 300 block of North Vine Street between May 21 and 23.

•Accident. Someone hit a utility pole on East Madison Street in Mahoningtown around 10:15 p.m. May 23, causing a power outage in the area.

•Shots fired. Police received a call of seven shots being fired in the 1300 block of South Jefferson Street around 3 a.m. Saturday.

•Theft. A Nike bag, an EvoShield and gloves were stolen from a car parked in the 900 block of Loraine Avenue at Butz Street Saturday.

•Theft. A 20-inch red and black bicycle was stolen from the 1900 block of Highland Avenue near Hillcrest Avenue Sunday.

•Criminal mischief. Someone damaged the front glass door of a building in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street between 5 p.m. May 23 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

•Accident. Police said Cassie Sue Laganna, 24, of 703 Hazen St. was driving through a parking lot on East Washington Street near Butler Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday with a burned out headlight and the front right bumper dragging on the ground. An officer stopped her on Hazen Street and she told him she had hit a car on Dushane Street and no one was around, police said. The other car had heavy back end damage, officers said. Police said Laganna is to be cited.

•Assault. A man told police an unknown 19-year-old male had assaulted him. The teen had requested the man haul away trash for him and he would pay him. The man said he had refused the work and the teen punched him in the face several times, causing a cut below his right eye. The man refused medical treatment, police said.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a home in the 100 block of Grove Street May 21 or 22 and stole $973 from a safe. A door had been pried open.

•Criminal mischief. Someone damaged the vent window of a car parked in the 11000 block of South Mill Street between 8 p.m. Sunday and 3:15 p.m. Monday.

•Burglary. A television was stolen from a house in the 200 block of North Liberty Street between 10:30 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

•Criminal mischief. Someone threw a rock through the window of a house in the 900 block of Adams Street around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
