On the Record: Today's births and police reports

•Burglary. Someone entered a Beech Street apartment between 8 and 9 a.m. Monday and stole a bottle of prescription Vicodin. Other pill bottles were scatted on the floor. The resident was walking a child to school when the break-in occurred, police said.

•Theft. A radio, battery charger and orange amplifier were stolen from a pickup truck parked in the 100 block of Mulberry Street around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

•Theft. A red and black Honda four-wheeler was stolen from a yard in the 200 block of Industrial Street between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

•Attempted theft. Someone tried to steal a compact disc player from a car parked in the 100 block of South Scott Street between 1 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. Wednesday. The car was ransacked. Police said it had been left unlocked.


•Accident. At 6 a.m. Aug. 10 on Countyline Road, Scott Township. Police said Gary A. Shay III, 24, of Slippery Rock was eastbound, lost control of his car and struck a tree head on. No injuries were reported. Police charged him with failure to drive at a safe speed.

•Burglary. Copper pipe was taken and a furnace damaged at a home in the 300 block of Mount Jackson Road, North Beaver Township, Aug. 20.

•Theft. A lawn mower, an antique clock, paint sprayer and tackle box were taken from a home in the 4000 block of Route 158, Wilmington Township, between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 22.

•Accident. Police said Tylar L. Baker, 21, of Edinburg, was on Snake Run Road, Wayne Township, at 4 p.m. Wednesday, lost control of his car and struck a tree. No injuries were reported. Police cited Baker for driving at an unsafe speed.
