To Randi Mills of New Castle and Erik Lightner of New Castle, a daughter on Jan. 7, 2014.

To Taylor McCormick of Ellwood City and Joshua McChesney of Ellwood City, a son on Jan. 7, 2014.

Police

STATE


•Burglary. Someone broke into a home on Westfield Road in North Beaver Township and took unspecified items. The burglary occurred Dec. 18 and was reported by police Monday.

•Theft. Someone took medication from a home on Main Street in Wampum Dec. 20. The theft was reported Monday.

•Accident. Police said Wayne F. Miller Jr., 46, of New Castle was eastbound on I-376 about 3:40 p.m. Dec. 24 when it went off the left side of the road, hit a guard rail and rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels. Miller, who suffered a minor injury, was cited, police said.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•Jason Monroe Norris, 32, of New Castle, three counts of intent to possess a controlled substance and one count each of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and conspiracy.

•Katrina Marie Snedecker, 28, of New Castle, two counts each of intent to possess a controlled substance and conspiracy and one count of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.

•Jason W. Bales, 34, of Slippery Rock, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and turning movements and required signals violation.

•Omar Moore, 19, of New Castle, theft by unlawful taking.

•Khalil Newman, 18, of New Castle, simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment.

•Richard Kohlmetz, 46, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

•Craig A. Morrow Jr., 30, of New Castle, public drunkenness and similar misconduct.

State police charged the following people:

•Thomas Stoops, 65, of Wampum, harassment.

•William Joseph Atwell Jr., 41, of Enon Valley, two counts of harassment.

•Jacob A. Salamon, 21, of New Castle, two counts of criminal mischief and one count each of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

State police charged the following people:

•Mark A. Hatch Jr., 30, of New Bethlehem, Pa., simple assault and harassment.

•Christopher J. Thomas, 37, of New Castle, harassment.
