Pauline Henderson McCallister, 87, formerly of 111 W. Fairmont Ave., died the morning of Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Edison Manor Nursing Home.

Born in New Castle on Nov. 8, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Pavio Baka. She married William (Pete) Henderson, who preceded her in death. She later married Earl McCallister, who also preceded her in death.

Pauline was a bookkeeper for Youngstown Pneumatic and Concrete.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church. Pauline was also a member of the Shenango Lions Club. She enjoyed attending card clubs, card party and was an avid reader.

She is survived by a son, William (Tiny) Henderson of New Castle.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Pauline was preceded in death by a brother; Mike Baka, and five sisters; Anna Tanner, Margaret Kroen, Mary Clavelli, Elizabeth O'Rourke and Helen Baka.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
